During this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, we were invited by Space Group to take on a unique challenge: design a piece that fills a gap in the contract furniture market. We embraced it with open arms – and open minds.
Our response? The Compact Lounge Stool - small in size, big on comfort, and undeniably full of character.
The Design Brief: Compact, Comfortable, and Commercially Viable
In hotels and restaurants, every square metre counts. Operators are increasingly seeking versatile, space-saving furniture that doesn’t compromise on style or comfort. That’s where we saw the opportunity to create a low-profile lounge stool that brings the relaxed shape of a lounge chair into tight spaces.
Our Design Solution: A Small Seat with a Big Personality
The Compact Lounge Stool combines generous cushioning, a subtly reclined seat, and a distinctive silhouette to bring both comfort and flair.
